Originally, I had wanted to make the table all out of cherry, but due to concerns, I thought I might use hard maple as well. The branch will be carved out of walnut, but I worked out 10 variations with the cherry and maple. (Some I like more than others.)
If you have any feedback I would really appreciate it.

Thanks, that one would have been the cheapest to make! But I decided to go with the plain cherry top (the one beside it) so that it doesn't distract from the branch (that I will be carving out of walnut!)
The drawings are not to scale, but the top is around 18"x18" and the height of the table will probably be 28"-34".
